The Visit Of The

Three Wise Men From The East

The Congregation Of The Wise Men

The Israelites knew about the coming of Jesus Christ. This is because King David published a book about His coming and birth, and distributed the books throughout Israel. It was in the book that King David made the statement, which Jesus referred to, saying, “The Lord said to my Lord,” which means the Lord Almighty said to Lord Jesus Christ. Both God and Jesus Christ are Lords Almighty. And it was God Almighty that came to live in the midst of humanity as Jesus Christ. That was why Jesus said, “The Father and I are one.” The name of Jesus is Emmanuel, which means God in the midst of humanity and in the midst of the entire creation. For God is able to stay outside creation, and is also able to stay inside creation. Just as a house owner can stay inside or outside the house.

The real problem in Israel was that they knew, but majority did not believe it. It is quite disappointing that they saw the Lord and Saviour, and did not believe in Him. Yet, at the same time, in the east, in the far away Persia, The Congregation Of The Wise Men were able to know about the coming and birth of Jesus Christ, and were able to seek, find and locate Him inside in Bethlehem. Even they brought gifts and worshipped.

It was this Congregation Of Wise Men that sent the three wise men to visit baby Jesus in Bethlehem. The three wise men were guided by the star of Jesus, which many people call it the star of Bethlehem.

While the three wise men were on their visit to Bethlehem, to bid Jesus welcome and worship Him, The Congregation Of The Wise Men were busy in Persia, celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ.

The Congregation Of The Wise Men were not Israelites, and they were not followers of Judaism. They were people from different nations, and were members of Zoroasterism, which was founded by Zarathustra.

The Visit Of The Three Wise Men

And it came to pass, when the Lord Jesus was born at Bethlehem, a city of Judea, in the time of Herod the King, the wise men came from the East to Jerusalem, according to the prophecy of Zoradascht (Zarathustra?). Beyond the river Euphrates the wise men lived; and they were learned mystics, could read the language of the stars, and they divined that one, a Master Soul, was born; they saw His star above Jerusalem. And there were three among the magian priests who longed to see the Master of the coming age; and they took costly gifts and hastened to the West in search of Him, the new-born king, that they might honour Him.
And one took gold, the symbol of nobility; another myrrh, the symbol of dominion and of power; frankincense the other took, the symbol of the wisdom of the sage.

Now when the wise men reached Jerusalem the people were amazed, and wondered who they were and why they came. And when they asked, “Where is the child that has been born a king?” the very throne of Herod seemed to shake. And Herod sent a courtier forth to bring the wise men to his court. And when they came, they asked again, “Where is the new born king?” And then they said, “While we were yet beyond the Euphates, we saw His star arise, and we have come to honour Him.”

And Herod blanched with fear. He thought, perhaps, the priests were plotting to restore the kingdom of the Jews, and so he said within himself, “I will know more about this child that has been born a king.”
And so he told the magian priests to tarry in the city for a while and he would tell them all about the king. He called in council all the Jewish masters of the law and asked, “What have the Jewish prophets said concerning such a one?”
The Jewish masters answered him and said, “The prophets long ago foretold that one would come to rule the tribes of Israel; that this Messiah would be born in Bethlehem.” They said, The prophet Micah wrote, “O Bethlehem Judea, a little place among the Judean hills, yet out of you one will come forth to rule my people, Israel; yea, one who lived in olden times, in very ancient days.”

Then Herod called the magian priests again and told them what the masters of the Jewish law had said; and then he sent them on the way to Bethlehem. He said, “Go search, and if you find the child that has been born a king, return and tell me all, that I may go and honour him.”

The wise men went their way and found the child with Mary in the shepherd's home.
They brought with them offerings: namely, gold, frankincense, and myrrh. They honoured and worshipped Him, and offered to Him their gifts.

Why The Three Wise Men Visited Herod

Why did the three wise men consult Herod?

What the three wise men did by going to Herod was good.

Number 1, they came from a far away and different country.

Number 2, they knew that Herod knew everything about the city or kingdom.

Number 3, they thought that Herod and all the people of Israel were in good and happy mood because of the birth of Jesus.

Number 4, the three wise men were walking in spirit, but Herod and the Israelites, except few, were not walking in spirit.

Number 5, they thought that Herod was happy and proud of the birth of Jesus. Number 6, they expected Herod to call for celebration. Even in their own country, the three wise men and their fellow citizens were celebrating the coming and birth of Jesus, even before the Angels directed them to come with gifts to welcome the baby Jesus.

Explanations:

1.     The three wise came, bid Jesus welcome, fell down and worshiped Him, because Jesus is Lord and Saviour, the God Almighty, who has come to save the lost people of God.

2.     What the three wise men did is the duty of every religious leader, irrespective of his religion, church, ministry or fellowship, because Truth is one and undivided. Only Truth, not religion or church, can set you free. Even so always.

3.     This is also the duty of all civil leaders, including presidents and governors, kings and mayors, heads and leaders of various formations, governments and leaderships, and both local and world leaders.

4.     The fact that they are not doing this needful service and homage shows that humanity and all their governments and leaderships are very far away from God Almighty, far away from the truth and far away from the right Covenant System Of Worship.

5.     Unfortunately, it is both religious and civil leaders that are frustrating the work of God and persecuting the saints who have been sent to reform the world.

The Three Wise Men, Also Called Sages Or Magians

You can call them the three wise men, the three sages or three magians. They were called magians because they walked in spirit, understood the realities of spirit and used their knowledge and understanding of mysteries. They knew many things which the children of God do not know but supposed to know. And when they manifested what they knew, it seemed as if they were doing magic. They knew many things and power, which God gave to the children of God, because they walked in spirit.

The three wise men, also called sages or magians, came to Israel asking about the birth of Jesus Christ, and people directed them to the house of Herod.

End Of Herod’s Reign

Herod was shaking, because the Angels have removed his throne. Physically, Herod knew that his time of leadership was over. What the Angels did to him was what was done to King Saul, when God handed over the leadership of Israel to David. The sign the Angels gave to Herod was to put the spirit of fear in him, and he was trembling.

The Star Guides The Three Wise Men

When the three wise men entered Jerusalem, there were many cities in it. But the star of Jesus Christ appeared again to them. It led them to the northern part of Jerusalem, to Judea, to Bethlehem and to the house in which Jesus was born. When they got into Bethlehem, the star hovered above the house where Jesus was born.

When Jesus was born, it came into the room where Jesus was and the light of its brightness filled the room and made everywhere clearly seen, in that night of the holy birth of Jesus Christ. After the birth of Jesus, the star hovered over the building, so that the three wise men knew where Jesus was born.

Nature Of The Star

The star is Holy Spirit. It is usually small in heaven and does not stay with the other stars. But it can change its size by becoming bigger or smaller. It can come down to the world or disappear.

The Star Of Jesus Christ

Many people call this, the star of Bethlehem, which is wrong. Some people saw the star at Bethlehem, and therefore, called it the star of Bethlehem, because they saw it at Bethlehem. The right name is The Star Of Jesus Christ. The star shows that Jesus is a very important personality, a very great man.

Some people saw the star of Jesus in the form of an aeroplane. They did so according to their own conscience – knowledge, understanding, believe and mental set. They saw the star of Jesus Christ, in the form of an aeroplane with blinking lights, for such Saints and mystics to know that the Hosts of Angels and Saints of Heaven arrived with Jesus for special mission, ready, prepared and equipped for a long stay. The presence of the Hosts of Angels and Saints of Heaven shows that Jesus is a very great personality. It is a confirmation that Jesus is the FirstSon of God, the Lord and Saviour, the Lord Almighty.

Others saw it and knew that a great master soul has arrived in the word, without knowing the location of the master soul. And while many saw the star without knowing the meaning and importance, many others did not see it at all.

The Angels relate to each person according to his level of understanding. That is why three persons see the same light in different ways, according to their spiritual levels, merits, mental sets and levels of spiritual vibration. One person sees light only. The second person sees a pillar of light only. And the third person sees the same light and the angel in the middle of the light. That is also why it is both good and compulsory for the children of God to grow in spirit, so that they can see and understand realties in perfection.

All the above visions and explanations are correct, but different.

The Three Wise Men

The names of the three wise men are Hor, Mer and Melzone.

Departure Of The Three Wise Men

Then the Lady Mary took one of his swaddling clothes in which the infant was wrapped, and gave it to them instead of a blessing, which they received from her as a most noble present.

And at the same time there appeared to them an angel in the form of that star which had before been their guide in their journey; the light of which they followed till they returned into their own country.

On their return their kings and princes came to them inquiring,

“What have you seen and done?

What sort of journey and return they had?

What company they had on the road?”

Another Celebration Of The Birth Of Jesus Christ In The Far East

When the three wise men were leaving, Mary gave them one of the swaddling clothes of baby Jesus. When they got home, the other many wise men asked them how their journey was. And the three wise men produced the swaddling cloth which St Mary had given to them, on account which they kept a feast. And having, according to the custom of their country, made a fire, they worshipped it. And casting the swaddling cloth into it, the fire took it, and kept it. And when the fire was put out, they took forth the swaddling cloth unhurt, as much as if the fire had not touched it. Then they began to kiss it, and put it upon their heads and their eyes, saying, “This is certainly an undoubted truth, and it is really surprising that the fire could not burn it, and consume it.” Then they took it, and with the greatest respect laid it up among their treasures.

Why The Three Men From The East Were Called Wise Men

In the past, for humanity, the white hairs signifies truth, knowledge, wisdom, experience, righteousness, holiness and prophecy. The aged men in the society were very much respected and honoured. They were the custodians of religion, culture and wisdom.

In the book of Revelation, we read of twenty elders worshipping God in heaven. The revelation is an evidence of the above importance of the elders in every community. But today, much has changed, and the elders are no longer respected and honoured as before. All because humanity follow the path of materialism, capitalism and worldliness. Nowadays, you even find elders bowing down to a young man, who has money, wealth or connection. Many sell their birth right for immediate benefits that cause them to loose so much in the long run.

Have you ever asked yourself, “Why were the three men from the east, who came to visit baby Jesus, called wise men?” A good knowledge of the reasons is what every believer, church member or seeker of Truth supposed to have.

They were called wise men for the following reasons:

1.     There are seven spiritual levels in the spiritual growth, as man strives to return to God from whom he emerged.

2.     The seven spiritual levels are as follows (allow slight differences):

1.     Level 1 is at 40% called The Believer/Born Again

2.     Level 2 is at 50% called The Disciple/Seasoned/Confirmed

3.     Level 3 is at 60% called The Enlightened/Wise One

4.     Level 4 is at 70% called The Saint

5.     Level 5 is at 80% called The Teacher/Sage/Guru/Spiritual Director

6.     Level 6 is at 90% called The Master/Saviour/Avatar/Apostle/General

7.     Level 7 is at 100% called The Godly/Perfect

3.     A person, who has attained third level, is called a wise man or an enlightened one. The three men have, by personal efforts, attained the level of being called Wise Ones. Even the disciples did not attain this third level. This fact was evident from the type of questions they were asking Jesus from time to time. They did not study Spiritual Science. That was why Jesus told them, “I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. 13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.” John 16:12-14

4.     A person, who has attained the level of spiritual knowledge and wisdom, knows the Truth about life and is able to teach it, though he may not have experienced the Truth.

More Reasons Why They Were Called Three Wise Men
When the disciples of Jesus were showing Him the great temple built by King Solomon, they were showing Him the beauty and value of the materials used in building the temple. They were expecting Jesus to appreciate the good and glorious works. But, Jesus said that the temple shall be demolished, until no stone is on top of another. And it happened exactly as Jesus said and predicted, simply because the Israelites were trusting in the temple to the neglect of God.

So are the religions and churches of today. They trust in their man-made doctrines and routines, and refuse to heed the corrections of the Holy Spirit being issued to them from time to time. What humanity calls freedom of religion is nothing but the multiplicity of idolatry.

The men from the east were called three wise men for the following more reasons:

1.     Their religions were different from Judaism, because they belonged to Hindusim, Buddhism and spirituality. Yet, they left their places to seek and find the Truth. Today, many, especially men, are not ready to leave their homes in search of the Truth.

2.     They did not allow their religions to prevent them from finding the Truth. Today, people refuse to hear the end time messages and warnings from God, claiming that their religions do not believe in such messages and warnings.

3.     They were doing things in the right way, by placing the Truth above religions and churches. Today, majority place their religions and churches above the Truth, and refuse to take corrections. That is why I say that “What many people call faith is nothing but stubbornness – The persistent refusal to do what God has said”.

4.     They understood the religions and churches as stepping stones to the Truth, and not the Truth. Today, people take their religions and churches as the final destination. That is why every religion or church is claiming their religion as the best. In fact, they are only busy deceiving themselves.

5.     They went in search of the Truth, just as Jesus advised saying, “Seek and you will find.” Today, people only make themselves ordinary members of the church. The worst is that they do not read wide and deep about spiritual life. Instead, they deceive themselves by expecting others to read and interpret to them.

6.     Jesus said that you shall know the Truth and the Truth shall set you free. Today, the unfortunate thing is that people are not even searching for the Truth. They are satisfied to make themselves ordinary members of the church. That is why I say to the world that it is good to honour the saints, but that it is more honourable to become one of the saints.

7.     They did not allow their language, culture or tribe to prevent them from seeking and finding the Truth. Today, people allow their languages, cultures and tribes to prevent them from seeking for the Truth, and are quick to reject and persecute any person who would show them the way to the Truth.

8.     They were from different religions, but were seeking for the same Truth. Today, we have so many religions and churches, each claiming to be teaching the Truth. Yet, their teachings are not only different, but also contradictory. If they had known the Truth, they would be saying the same thing. That is why I often say that most of the churches that claim to be the best are indeed among the worst.

9.     They left their members to search for the Truth and were blessed to find it. Today, even religious leaders would hold on to their members and refuse to welcome the Truth. They are more interested in increasing membership than doing what God said.

10.            They were prayerful and watchful, observing the weather for the signs of God’s coming. Today, people pray without watching, and those who are watching are not praying. Despite the fact that people see all the signs given by Jesus as being fulfilled in their everyday life, they refuse to repent and heed the end time warnings and messages. Instead, they are busy everyday pursuing the things of the world, the very things they were asked to avoid.

11.            They left their religion to inquire form another religion that knows better. Today, people deceive themselves by claiming that their religion is the best and final. How can there be so many bests, when only one best is possible and true?

12.            They came to honour the King of Kings. Today, people would come to laugh at those doing the right thing, and even discourage others from joining the righteous ones.

13.            They brought gifts for the Most High God. Today, people are always complaining of the gifts and offerings they give in the house of God.

14.            They gave their gifts, without expecting rewards, thanks, praises, force or persuasion. Today, people give and expect to be paid back. That is why sowing of seed is now very common, because people give God so that God would give back to them, by answering their prayers. As Jesus explained, the best gift is what is given without expecting returns.

15.            They were ready for the Truth and were even making it public. Today, many religious leaders are so jealous that they would hide the Truth in order to keep their members. That is why many churches do not care about the end time warnings and messages from heaven. Even religious leaders are not spreading the messages to their members.

16.            They knew in advance that God was coming and made preparations for the coming. Today, religions and churches do not care to know about the saints being sent in their midst from heaven. Even, the God Almighty has come down and has given the order for the end time battle. Yet, people do not know this and have refused to welcome Him with gifts.

17.            Though they were from different nations and religions, they teemed up in support of the Truth, bearing witness for the Truth. Today, even in the same religion or church, people are causing unnecessary divisions, crisis, rivalry and competitions, especially for membership, power and wealth. To the extent that many religions and churches are fighting against God without knowing it.

18.            They were from different religions and nations, but saying and doing the same thing. Today, even sects in the same religion are teaching and practising things that are not only different, but also contrary to one another.
